Following the initial Call and preliminary screening of Artists' work, candidates
were invited to a soirée with established Art collectors at a local Gallery.
They were instructed not to discuss the Call with anyone, but to locate
the DJ and deliver a password. Artists were given buttons displaying an
image of their work, provided access to two video cameras and a digital
still camera, and invited to enjoy themselves. We fed them sushi and margaritas
in an air-conditioned space on one of the hottest days of the year. Portions
of their work are included on the DVD.
